Mission, Vision & Values
Caminar, a non-profit agency serving the regions of San Mateo County, Solano County, San Francisco County and Butte County, California, has been providing community-based services for adults with disabilities and mental health conditions for 50 years. We strive to support each individual in their recovery process, helping them to create and develop a personalized roadmap for achieving their goals.
The central purpose and role of Caminar is defined as: Caminar’s mission is to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities by providing opportunities to live in the community with dignity and independence.

Programs and Services
Caminar's community-based programs are designed to maximize wellness and recovery opportunities for adults with mental, physical and developmental disabilities. We provide supportive caring environments in which individuals are empowered to create meaningful and satisfying lives for themselves. Caminar’s core services focus on community-based individual support services, intensive residential care, transitional and permanent supported housing, supported education and supported employment.
