Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Services

Our DUI Services assist people through the process of completing legal requirements necessary to maintain or obtain their driving privileges while providing a valuable educational service focused on the health and safety of individuals and the public. Our objectives are aligned with the State of California DUI Programs Branch and we aim to reduce the number of repeat DUI offenses and provide participants with an opportunity to address problems related to alcohol and drug use and abuse.

DUI Core Services

  • Drug and Alcohol Assessments

  • DMV Proof of Enrollment

  • Drug and Alcohol Education

  • Psycho-educational Group Process

  • Individual Monitoring Sessions

  • Ancillary Services

  • DMV Certificate of Completion

Individuals who have been arrested or convicted of a DUI are required to complete the court-ordered or DMV-required DUI Program. We accept enrollment referrals from Solano County Superior Court, Probation, and Out-of-County Court courtesy transfers. Legal documentation that includes an individuals name and the court order or DMV requirements must be provided at the time of the scheduled enrollment session. Client transfers are conducted by qualified employees and completed with the cooperation of the receiving program. Courtesy transfers to other DUI/DDP programs are available upon request.

Participant Fees

All DUI Program fees are reviewed and approved by the California DUI Program Services Branch. During the intake session, fees are reviewed and discussed prior to signing the payment agreement form.

Privacy

Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy and security measures regarding release of information and client transfer of information are maintained as required by law. We are linked to the DMV web-based site, allowing authorized employees to enter enrollment and completion data directly to the DMV.

DUI Curriculum

Our DUI curriculum is designed to offer an opportunity to engage in a learning process, examine behavior and attitudes related to use of alcohol and/or drugs, ask questions, and process the experience of going through the criminal justice system. Groups may include guest speakers such as individuals from law enforcement, HIV/AIDS educators, and individuals who have harmed or have been injured by a drunk driver. Subjects that are typically addressed include causes of alcohol/drug abuse and treatment options; effects of alcohol/drug abuse on the family;  and effective coping skills to address anger, fear, anxieties, loss, depression, and more.

Additional Services

DUI participants have the opportunity of receiving additional alcohol and drug treatment at the same location where DUI services are provided. Other services available include

  • HIV prevention, education, and testing

  • Hepatitis C information and referral

  • 12-step programs (Spanish and English)—Vacaville location only
