In the fourth quarter of the Fiscal Year 2020, as a result of the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we experienced a decrease in expected revenue based on three factors:

1) We saw an initial downturn in demand for services when stay-at-home orders were imposed: Despite seeing fewer clients during this time, we maintained staffing levels as we pivoted to telehealth service delivery and knew that demand would eventually increase. This reduction in demand reduced our fee-for-service contract revenue.

2) We experienced a reduction in expected general operating funds: Many foundations and corporations shifted grant-making efforts to respond to the pandemic.

3) We incurred significant unbudgeted operating expenses required to respond to the pandemic. These expenses included procurement of PPE, plexiglass, additional safety and sanitization measures, and upgrades to our IT infrastructure to better support care delivery.
