Our Impact

With thanks to our partners — including regional government funders, individual donors, foundations, corporations — and our board of directors, Caminar and our divisions have worked tirelessly to address the need for behavioral health services and make a positive impact in our communities. In 2020, we

Pivoted to adapt most operations to virtual, telehealth systems and simultaneously navigated safe delivery of essential in-person services and staff functions, allowing us to continue services to all clients - especially our most marginalized, vulnerable, and lowest-income neighbors

Reached over 18,000 children and adults with behavioral health education, prevention, treatment, and recovery programs across five counties in the Bay Area and Northern California

Built our capacity to measure the community health outcomes we impact, including reductions in hospitalizations, incarcerations, and homelessness as evidenced by the success of our Solano Region’s H.O.M.E. program, which serves individuals who have persistent and serious mental illness and are

  • experiencing chronic homelessness

  • at risk of hospitalization

  • part of an underserved/unserved population

  • and may be involved with the criminal justice system

By connecting these individuals with supported services for housing, intensive and comprehensive behavioral health case management, and job readiness programs, we impacted individual and community-level health improvement and

  • successfully housed all clients

  • met or exceeded all program goals, with significant reductions in the number of clients experiencing adverse events
