At Caminar, we were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Eunice Kushman (1922 – 2025), a beloved member of our community whose impact will be felt for generations to come. Eunice was more than a board member and a donor, she was a guiding light, a passionate advocate, and a cherished member of our community.
For over thirty years, Eunice served on Caminar’s board of directors, helping to shape the heart and direction of our organization. Her leadership and compassion were instrumental in advancing mental health services throughout San Mateo County. Through times of change and growth, Eunice remained laser focused on the needs of those we serve.
Well into her later years, Eunice remained connected to Caminar, continuing to support our mission as a donor, regularly checking in with our staff to hear the latest updates. Her generosity and belief in our mission are a testament to her lifelong commitment to helping others.
We are especially honored that her family chose to direct memorial donations to Caminar in her name. This is a beautiful reflection of her spirit and values while ensuring her legacy of kindness and service lives on.
Eunice will be remembered not only for her formidable contributions but also for her warmth, humor, and the way she made everyone feel seen and valued. Her spirit continues to inspire us to carry forward the work she so passionately supported.
From all of us at Caminar, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Eunice’s family and friends. We are grateful to have known her, worked alongside her and will continue to feel the privilege of witnessing the incredible difference she has made in our community.
