Caminar in the News: Mark Cloutier, Forbes Nonprofit Council Article

Our CEO, Mark Cloutier, is an official member of the Forbes Nonprofit Council. His first thought-leadership article was recently published, “Social Media and Youth Mental Health: Are You Worried Yet?”

In the article, Cloutier states: “We can no longer overlook the abundance of warning signs and risks to adolescent mental health posed by social media. With up to 95% of youth ages 13 to 17 using a social media platform, the issue has become so concerning that the Surgeon General issued a warning. Yet the warning signs continue to mount.”

Caminar in the News: California's Prop. 1 Measure Too Close To Call

As California awaits the final results of Proposition 1, our CEO, Mark Cloutier, was interviewed by San Jose Spotlight on the topic.

According to the article, California’s Prop. 1 Measure Too Close to Call, "Mark Cloutier, CEO of mental health nonprofit Caminar, said in a perfect world, there would be funding for all mental health needs, but said he supports Prop. 1 with its funding shifts because it could expand services for a critical state population. 'The net of this, as painful as it is, is a trade-off that I think we have to take given the extreme emergency of unhoused people with untreated behavioral health disorders,' he told San José Spotlight."

You can also read Mark's San José Spotlight op-ed, "Without Prop. 1, our dire housing and untreated mental health crisis will get worse" here.
