At Caminar, we believe that every person deserves dignity, safety, and the opportunity to thrive. We are honored to share that the City of Concord has awarded our organization a $1.6 million grant to launch the Concord Mobile Dignity Center (CMDC), a two-year collaborative project designed to meet the critical needs of individuals and families experiencing homelessness in our community.
We will bring together a network of nonprofit partners to deliver a wide range of compassionate, life-affirming services. Over the course of two years, the CMDC is expected to serve 300 residents experiencing homelessness in the City of Concord, creating pathways toward health, stability, and hope.
Meeting People Where They Are

Looking Ahead
The Concord Mobile Dignity Center represents a $1.6 million investment in the health, well-being, and future of our community. Over the next two years, we will work hand-in-hand with the City of Concord and our other partner organizations—including First Christian Church of Concord, Loaves and Fishes, NAMI Contra Costa, Pleasant Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church, RotaCare and White Pony Express—to bring this vision to life.
Caminar’s mission is to build strength and stability in our community, and we are honored to walk alongside individuals on their journeys to resilience and hope. With the CMDC, we are proud to extend our mission to Concord’s unhoused residents, meeting them with compassion, restoring dignity, and building a stronger community for all.
